Welcome to the University of Malta (UM)
Are you an international student who is interested in studying in Malta and who has obtained a high-school certificate issued in another country where the education system is not comparable to the Maltese one?
If you are, but you are finding it challenging to be physically present at the University of Malta due to COVID-19 restrictions, we have great news for you.
As of October 2020, the University of Malta’s International School for Foundation Studies is switching to online teaching.
This will give you the opportunity of all-inclusive learning through instruction, exploration, collaboration and reflection – from the comfort of wherever you are, and without the need to travel.
It is not the only element of flexibility the International School for Foundation Studies is adding to its programme this academic year, as all classes will be recorded for ease of access, meaning that if you miss a session, you can access it later at your convenience.
This will not come at the expense of one-to-one contact time, as your lecturers and tutors are dedicated and committed to support you in your journey of doing basic independent research and any other aspect of your studies, as the need arises.
They will also teach you to use different strategies to perform optimally according to the assessment methods as required.
The remoteness of the one-year course will still leave you enriched in terms of your social experience as you will be able to get together regularly with your fellow course mates through tutorials, online conferencing and study networks.
UM is offering discounts on all its foundation courses as follows:
Medical and Dental Science – €12,500 instead of €16,000
All on the foundation programmes - €5,000 instead of €6,600
Pre-Foundation- €7,500 instead of €10,000
