Event: ĦAĠRA 2025 – Reimagining Architecture Across the Mediterranean
Date: Monday 12-Sunday 18 May 2025
Time: Whole Day
Venue: Valletta
Ħaġra is a week-long programme exploring the future of architecture in the Mediterranean region. Taking place from 12–18 May in Valletta, the festival brings together architects, researchers, students, and the general public to discuss how the built environment is shaped by cultural, environmental, and social change.
The festival is designed to support cross-disciplinary learning. Through presentations, guided tours, roundtable discussions, and exhibitions, participants will explore topics such as heritage preservation, sustainable design, urban development, and architectural policy. Local and international speakers will present case studies and research that connect architecture with broader issues—like climate change, resource management, and cultural identity.
Ħaġra is part of Din l-Art Ħelwa’s 60th Anniversary programme and is open to anyone interested in the role of architecture today—whether you are a student, lecturer, professional, or simply curious about the spaces we live in.
