An ageing population is one of the greatest social and economic challenges facing the EU. Given the data analysed between November and December of 2017, Eurostat predicts a growing number of elderly persons, aged 65 years and over, with an even more rapid increase in the number of very old persons, aged 85 years and over. This change in population demographic is affecting several socio and economic areas, perhaps the most prevalent being healthcare. with the costs of healthcare on a steady increase, in part due to the increase in life expectancy. We are now faced with an important question: what can we do to deal with it?
Malta Café Scientifique in partnership with Spazju Kreattiv present, Dr Lourdes Farrugia, who will be discussing a possible solution to the growing costs of healthcare: electromagnetic imaging and therapeutics on the body, on the 9 December 2020 at 19:00pm, presented over Zoom.
