The Edward De Bono Institute is a member of the Possibility Studies Network which is organising an online conference between 16 and 19 of May.
This event will bring together prestigious keynotes, presentations from network partners and a wider international audience in a joint exploration of theory, method and practice. The session each day will start with a keynote speech:
- Ruth M. J. Byrne (Trinity College Dublin, Ireland) on "How people think about counterfactual possibilities”
- Noah W. Sobe (UNESCO) on "Education as fulcrum of possibility: Reimagining a new social contract”
- Kim Wilkins (University of Queensland, Australia) on "Beyond narration: Stories as systems for transdisciplinary research”
- Catrinel Haught Tromp (Rider University, USA) on "Constraints as sources of creative possibilities”
Beyond the keynotes, there will be 20 talks that will share the most recent developments in the areas of creativity, innovation, serendipity, and future thinking, among others, as they apply to education, organisations, and everyday life.
More detailed information about the event can be found online. You can also get your hands on the draft version of the book of abstracts. The PSN have also just set up a twitter account to share what's happening during the sessions.
