The Department of Art and Art History is organising Project Light and Hope in collaboration with Crisis Resolution Malta. The project aims to raise awareness about the sources, supporting services and coping mechanisms available to those who might be experiencing personal difficulties and crisis.
Dr. Mark Xuereb, Psychiatrist and Lead Crisis Management Team will give the opening lecture which is then followed by workshops by Ms. Jeanette Fiott, Warranted Art Psychotherapist, and Dr Gilbert Calleja of the Department of Art and Art History.
The project also includes an exhibition of selected works produced around the set themes. These themes include self-reflexivity and awareness, resilience, coping with anxiety and procrastination as well as hope and achievement strategies. The project includes a two-day workshop that will be held on Friday 2 and Friday 9, 2022 at the Dry Media Studio, University House, an art exhibition of selected students' works and the publication of a calendar.
