Abstract: This cross-country study examines student attitudes toward entrepreneurship, expected challenges, and the need for entrepreneurial education in Malta. The research underscores the importance of entrepreneurship for economic growth, particularly given the contribution of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to the country. Maltese students prefer entrepreneurship as a career path, viewing it as innovative and rewarding. However, financial constraints, lack of entrepreneurial knowledge, and institutional support pose significant barriers. Quantitative analyses reveal a desire for personalised learning experiences, such as mentorship and workshops, over traditional lectures. The study calls for developing tailored educational programmes that address these challenges, emphasising the need for government incentives and financial aid to foster a resilient entrepreneurial culture.
