The Cinema Nuovo Italiano organised by Dott. Mingardi will once again feature a film at the Cottonera Resource Centre, University of Malta. The film 'Convitto Falcone' (2002) will be screened on 4 December 2015 at 18:00. This short film was produced by Pasquale Scimeca and is 30 minutes long.
The film is about Giovanni Falcone, the anti-mafia judge. The story features Antonio, an adolescent, who thanks to a scholarship manages to go to the same boarding school where Falcone studied. One day, a journalist asks Giovanni Falcone why he risks his life on a daily basis. The judge, smiling graciously, answers "Out of the need to serve".
