Professor Russell Smith describes himself as, "curious about everything and passionate about enterprise". For the last 20 years he has been heavily involved in the commercialisation of intellectual property arising from academic research and has led three spin-out companies from the University of Oxford. At the same time he developed many enterprise programmes for students from a wide range of backgrounds and received the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise Promotion in 2012.
Russell joined the University of Malta, as Professor in Entrepreneurship within the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Business Incubation, in October 2015 and has now relocated from Oxford to live in Malta.
Come and join him for an hour at this 'meet the new boy' session in which he would like to introduce himself, tell you about his recent activities and explain what he hopes to contribute to the life of the University and the Maltese entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Refreshments will be served during a networking session after the presentation.
RSVP on email to Ms Maria Abdilla.
