The University of Malta Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic is holding a lecture entitled: 'The role of acupuncture in weight loss'.
Obesity and overweight pose a major risk for serious diet-related chronic diseases, including type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, stroke and certain forms of cancer. Nowadays acupuncture is a sought after method for weight loss as it has proved to be effective and has no side effects.
During the lecture, Professor Fu will talk about how to evaluate the level of obesity and how acupuncture can help one to stay in shape. She will also explain how to control weight at home using acupressure points.
Professor Qinhui Fu (M.D., Ph.D.) is a chief-physician specialising in clinical research of acupuncture on weight control and pain management.
The lecture will be held at the Clinic of Traditional Chinese Medicine on Friday 16 September at 19:30. The clinic is located next to the old gate of the University of Malta, Msida Campus.
