Which came first: the chicken or the egg? This debate has been raging since the ancient Greeks. The talk will settle this issue once and for all. 'Chicken and Egg' proposes a playful reflection on thought experiments.
Thought experiments are made of imaginary situations where questions are posed around contradictions in how we think about the world. Most thought experiments are based on our values and existence are meant to remain riddles. Those that challenge our logic tend to be solved throughout the course of history. Thanks to the philosophy of language, today we are able to unravel the 'chicken and egg' dispute.
Come join us in our event to debate the question about what came first at 19:30 (Doors open at 19:15) on 1 March in the Cinema Room, Spazju Kreattiv, St James Cavalier in Valletta together with lecturer Dr Stefano Gualeni from the Institute of Digital Games, University of Malta.
