Medication Safety and Effectiveness: An interactive workshop on research methods, quantitative reasoning and scientific writing
The Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, at the University of Malta together with the Division of Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy at the University of Helsinki is organising an intensive interactive workshop on research methods, quantitative reasoning and scientific writing in relation to medication safety and effectiveness between 27 and 31 August 2018.
This workshop is chaired by Professor Marja Airaksinen from the University of Helsinki and Prof. Maria Cordina from the University of Malta. This workshop brings together an excellent international team of highly respected, acclaimed academics with significant experience and expertise in their respective fields. Participants will benefit from individual attention from Prof. Tim Chen, University of Sydney, Australia, Prof. Shane Desselle, Touro University, USA, Prof. Alan Lyles, University of Baltimore, USA and Dr Kenneth Shermock, Johns Hopkins University/Hospital USA.
The overall objective of this workshop is to support researchers/practitioners from diverse disciplines conduct methodologically robust and innovative research leading to high quality publications.
This is a unique workshop where participants will interact with tutors before, during and after the interactive week and will attain skills, in a consolidated manner, which can be applied to their current and future research. Moreover, the workshop content will be tailored to the needs to the individual participants. Participants will also have the advantage of building a formal and systematic learning community.
