The Department of Public Policy, within the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy at the University of Malta is celebrating the 40th anniversary since its inception in 1978.
To commemorate the foundation, the Department is hosting an academic conference entitled 'Challenges for Democratic Governance in a Digital Age.'
This prestigious conference will be held on 23 November at 08:30, at the House of Representatives, Valletta, Malta. It will include a keynote speech on how digital age is reshaping democratic politics delivered by Professor Alina Mungiu-Pippidi from the Hertie School of Governance, Germany. Professor Mungiu-Pippidi is an expert on Democracy Studies. Her keynote speech will be followed by a panel discussion on 'Digitisation – a game changer for democratic constitutionalism' moderated by Professor Godfrey Pirotta.
