You are cordially invited to attend a debate organised by the Department of Economics, University of Malta, in collaboration with Parliamentary Secretariat for Social Accommodation, Ministry for the Family, Children's Rights and Social Solidarity.
The debate will focus on the proposed framework of the White Paper on Rental Market, recently launched by Government, and is intended to shed light on the rationale behind the proposed framework as well as the economic and social context of the proposal.

The debate will be opened by the Hon. Roderick Galdes, Parliamentary Secretary for Social Accommodation. Dr Philip von Brockdorff, Head, Department of Economics, who drew up an economic evaluation of the proposed framework, will chair the debate. The panel comprises Dr Kurt Xerri and Dr Rachael Scicluna, authors of the White Paper 'Renting as a Housing Alternative'.
The event will be held at the Faculty of ICT Auditorium, University of Malta Msida Campus on Thursday 8 November between 18:00 and 20:00. Refreshments will be served after the debate.
