On Friday 7 December, the Human Rights Programme will be hosting its annual Human Rights Conference, in partnership with the President's Foundation for the Wellbeing of Society. The Conference will be held in the presence of the President of the Republic of Malta, H.E. Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, and of Judge Vincent De Gaetano, Chief Justice Emeritus and Judge of the European Court of Human Rights, who will deliver a keynote address.
This year's edition will focus on the 70th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the impact of human rights on the development and other disciplines at university and beyond. The 2018 Conference will also inaugurate an annual Human Rights Award for academic publications.
The event will be held at Antoine de Paule Hall, San Anton Palace, Attard, from 08:30 to 13:30. Refreshments will be provided.
