The Human Rights Platform Award Lecture, entitled 'Is there a Maltese dialect of Human Rights, and can migrants learn to speak it?', will be held on Tuesday 5 November from 17:00 to 19:00 at the University of Malta Valletta Campus.

The lecture will deploy an ethnographic perspective in order to explore various discourses and institutional mechanisms by which the right to asylum is evoked and given a specific shape within Maltese law, state, and society. Migrants' efforts to access this right will also be explored against this backdrop.
