The Faculty for Social Wellbeing, in collaboration with the Department of Criminology, is organising a public lecture in remembrance of Dr Jacqueline Azzopardi. Dr Azzopardi was Deputy Dean and Head, Department of Criminology at the Faculty for Social Wellbeing.
Cesare Lombroso, the father of criminology is mainly known for his theory of the born criminal. However, Lombroso, being a polyglot and a prolific writer researched, studied and published on a variety of topics. Notwithstanding, most of these aspects of Lombroso’s work still tend to be neglected and ignored by most researchers and academics.
