After a four-year wait, the Ħolqa International Youth Arts Festival, organised by the Junior College, was back in its seventh edition with a post-apocademic theme. The festival took place between 21 and 23 March 2023. Students from Cagliari (Sardinia) and Montella (Campania) added the international flair of this year's edition.
Ħolqa is a cultural space for students, 16 to 19 years of age, from different socio-economic backgrounds and countries, to come together to share ideas, views and culture through their artistic expression.
This year, Ħolqa had several branches of art, including: dance, music, literature, drama, performing arts and visual art. It also included a series of ongoing cultural, artistic, information and training workshop events that enabled students in the various artistic spheres to appreciate the concept of the festival in its entirety.
The Ħolqa festival is open to all students and the general audience interested in creative and performative arts.
