Ġ.F. Abela Junior College recently hosted a dynamic international Job Shadowing event with participants from Malta, Finland, Sweden, and Spain. Held from 11–13 November 2025, the three-day programme focused on the theme “Innovation in action: linking learning, enterprise and technology.”
The event opened with an orientation tour, and an introduction to the Junior College and the Maltese educational system. International teams shared presentations, followed by a productive round-table discussion on innovative practices connecting education with enterprise.
The main activities centred on collaboration, including a workshop and a session led by the JC Entrepreneurship Committee. International participants also had the opportunity to attend lectures in accounting, mathematics, computing, and marketing, gaining first-hand experience of the college environment. A presentation by the Vice Principal highlighted the work of JC Committees and the Enrichment Programme.
The programme also showcased Malta’s cultural and business landscape through visits to the Farsons Brewery Experience, L-Artigjana, and guided tours of Valletta, Mdina, and Rabat.
The Job Shadowing event successfully fostered international cooperation and strengthened the college’s commitment to innovation and enterprise-focused learning.
This activity is coordinated by the JC International Office, and supported by the Erasmus+ Accreditation programme.
