Rona La Bella, from the Department of Maths at the Junior College, successfully attended a three day Job Shadowing experience held at Liceo Scientifico “Aristotele” in Rome between 27 and 30 April 2022.
This experience was a great opportunity to observe and discuss lesson management and the learning environment with counterparts within another EU country. She attended various classes and engaged in an exchange of good practices through discussions on various educational methodologies, student engagement and assessment methods with fellow Italian colleagues, as well as students from the Rome school.
Similar collaborations have become a regular exchange between JC and Liceo “Aristotele”, where two teachers from the same school are returning the visit with a job shadowing to be carried out in Malta in May. Such projects are not only an opportunity to explore different working methods and exchange useful teaching practices, but are a way of encouraging members of staff to engage in international collaborations, as well as networking with foreign counterparts.
This project is being coordinated by the JC International Office, where the participation is being funded thanks to the Erasmus+ programme, under the Junior College KA1 School Education Accreditation strategy.
