Emma Shults, a first-year student at Junior College, is the overall winner of the NSTF (National Science and Technology Forum) Science Forum. This was announced in the award-winning ceremony held at The Malta Enterprise on Wednesday 9 April 2025. Ms Shults will now be representing Malta in an international competition.
We wish to congratulate all the six Junior College students that participated in this programme throughout this academic year for their outstanding performance. These are Gabriella Teeling, Giulia Francavilla, Rebecca Sciberras, Marija Cuschieri, Anthea Grech and Emma Shults, under the supervision of Ms Dorita Agius.
This participation involves preparation for six science related topics in the fields of Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering and Technology. The participants have to present one of the topics but ask questions about all the topics. This therefore involves researching and getting familiar with the topics beforehand.
The NSTF is a non-profit company representing South African organisations in the public and private sector with an interest in science, engineering, technology, and innovation. Its aim is to promote science, engineering, and technology, and to engage with related government policies.
