Highlights from Festgħana fil-Lokal (fl-Università)

The University of Malta’s Quadrangle hosted a lively celebration during Festgħana fil-Lokal, bringing together students, staff, and visitors for an afternoon centred on Maltese culture and tradition.

The event formed part of the wider Festgħana festival and highlighted the enduring beauty of għana, with live performances by talented għannejja and guitarists creating a warm and engaging atmosphere across campus.

Alongside the music, the Quadrangle was transformed with colourful seasonal floral arrangements that added a vibrant visual touch to the setting and enhanced the overall experience for attendees.

The gathering offered a relaxed space for the university community to come together, enjoy local heritage, and experience Maltese cultural expression in a familiar academic environment.

Relive the atmosphere and key moments from the event through the photo highlights and video.

This was the final lunchtime initiative organised by the Conferences & Events Unit in collaboration with Festivals Malta, and RIDT for this academic year.
