Since January 2017 Prof. Maria Attard is co-editor of the Journal Research in Transportation Business and Management.
Prof. Attard is the current Head of Geography within the Faculty of Arts and Director of the Institute for Climate Change and Sustainable Development. She has worked and published extensively in the field of transport geography and transport policy. She leads a team of interdisciplinary researchers working in various aspects of transport including elderly mobility, use of ICT, walkability, and the link between transport, land use and urban design. She collaborates with academics from the Faculty of ICT, Faculty of the Built Environment and the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy amongst others.
She replaces Prof. Mary Brooks from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada who founded the journal with Prof. Stephen Ison from Loughborough University in the UK.
