On 19 and 20 September, delegates from 31 countries met at the Aula Magna in Valletta for a two-day conference as part of COST Action 17114 'Transdisciplinary solutions to cross sectoral disadvantage in youth'.
This COST Action aims to promote understanding of the disadvantages faced by youth in various life domains, how these disadvantages interrelate and how they may be addressed. This Action brings together scholars, from across a number of disciplines, to conduct research on young people in respect of employment, family formation, active citizenship and social investment, as well as to build capacity in these fields and to develop policy recommendations.
The conference was addressed by Prof. Janet Mifsud as COST Coordinator for Malta, and convened by Dr Sue Vella and Dr Joanne Cassar of the Faculty for Social Wellbeing.
