A Maltese satellite is about to take off into space. Objects will soon be controlled by brain signals. Huge underground water reserves may solve Malta’s water shortage once and for all. How far along are these and other ambitious local projects a year or two after they made the news? ReThink, a new radio show and podcast of the THINK magazine, meets researchers and innovators to follow up on their ideas.
‘Podcasts have given radio a new life, as they make a great format to discuss complex ideas without straining our overworked eyes,’ says ReThink’s producer and co-host Daiva Repeckaite. ‘People in Malta spend hours every week stuck in traffic or waiting for unreliable buses – they could use this time to learn about inspiring ideas and ambitious local projects.’ Yet, together with the show’s co-host Chris Styles, she hopes that the podcast will reach listeners beyond Malta as well.
Each programme will first air on Campus FM on Mondays at 7:30 pm and be repeated on Friday at 1:30 pm. Listeners can tune in on their radios or Campus FM’s website. The programmes will then be downloadable on rethinkmalta.podbean.com and major podcasting apps (including Spotify and iTunes).
