The current pandemic is one we all need to get used to, whether we like it or not, and we need all the support we can get.
After a successful run of Health & Wellness Talks, the steady live-stream of support for the University of Malta community, the programme is back – but with a different name.
Linja Kampus is one of the new programmes on Campus FM’s chockful winter schedule.
Prof. Carmen Sammut, Pro-Rector for Student & Staff Affairs and Outreach, and Dr Joan Camilleri from the Health & Wellness Centre, are back with more guests to discover new ways of support available to all learners, whether they are on campus, or are working from home.
The episodes are available for viewing on the Health and Wellness Centre’s Facebook Page. In the first few episodes:
- Gail Bonnici, Health Officer at the Malta Health Students’ Association, and Yacopo Baldacchino, from Terra Di Mezzo talk about two mental health campaigns organised by student organisations aiming to help students cope with the effects of the pandemic.
- UM Chaplain Fr Patrick Magro, Youth Worker Mr Christian Mintoff, and Social Worker Martha Maria Dimech discuss the role of the University’s chaplaincy during Freshers’ Week, in helping students grow not just academically, but holistically.
- Ms Carmen Mangion from Registrar’s Office and KSU President, Matthew Xuereb, explained how students could start their orientation in these exceptional circumstances.
