Forging ahead in challenging times
Great tribute is owed to all University staff and stakeholders who have worked relentlessly for the University to continue serving our students and society without interruption in 2020. Likewise, the Strategic Plan 2020-2025 is an initiative that requires adaptation and evolution, now more than ever, in the difficult circumstances which the Covid-19 pandemic has presented.
The challenges posed by the pandemic have been felt across the globe in a wide range of policy areas, and higher education is one area that has certainly been affected. In countries around the world, policymakers in international universities need to mitigate risk and plan for the possible ramifications of these unusual times.
As we consider the short-term and long-term effects on higher education, the University of Malta reaffirms its commitment to the Strategic Plan, as a model for the pedagogical community that we want to nurture, and the impact we want to have on our nation and society.
A summary of the Strategic Plan 2020-2025 and pdf versions in Maltese and English are available on the University website. Printed copies can be prebooked for collection.
As members of the University community, we do our utmost to implement improvements and new initiatives in an ever-changing environment. We are committed to continuous advancement as an inherent part of our daily work activities to collectively achieve the goals and vision of the University of Malta.
