Students from the University of Malta's Faculty of ICT played an important role in this year's Anti-Bullying week by developing and deploying a mobile app for the anti-bullying NGO, bBrave.
The app enables users to register with the NGO and provides articles and contacts for anti-bullying resources. It also also contains games that reinforce messages of positive behaviour in a light-hearted manner.
What started off as a practical project for B.Sc. Computing Science students Leanne Briffa, Julian Falzon and Adrian Farrrugia, blossomed into a productive collaboration with bBrave, work which was kept alive by Computer Engineering student Kristian Fenech, who worked on it as part of his summer placement.
The students were supervised by Dr Mark Micallef from the Department of Computer Science.
