Printed and online material that was created to cater for students following the University of Malta’s International School for Foundation Studies, was featured on Digital Education Platform, Avallain.com.
The University’s successful Foundation Studies Programme was featured as a case-study because of how well the print material was integrated into the course leading to a Certificate in Foundation Studies: Medical and Dental Sciences Programme.
The team behind this printed material, led by the Director of the International School for Foundation Studies, Prof. Isabel Stabile, has recently sought to convert the printed material into an interactive, digital tool which has now been set up and is hosted on Avallain’s platform, Magnet.
This is being used with the current student cohort with success, and engaging activities are being planned around the multiple specialised texts, along with accompanying audio and video assets.
“Our students, located in 20 countries and 10 time zones, now have access via Avallain Magnet to various learning activities embedded in our bespoke English courses”, said Prof. Stabile in her testimonial of the platform.
