Living the Olympic experience is what most of us are getting to do second-hand via our TV’s, tablets and other gadgets.
For second-year medical student and track athlete Carla Scicluna, it’s a totally different story.
She is one of the six athletes to have joined the Maltese delegation in Tokyo.
This is Carla’s first appearance at the Games, and she will be competing in the 100m track and field events on Friday 30 July at 02:00 local time.
Carla has already represented Malta at the Under18 European Championships, and more recently at the Championships of the Small States of Europe at San Marino.
Sharing an update on her Instagram account, Carla said she is beyond grateful to have been chosen to represent Malta at the Tokyo Olympic Games.
The Faculty of Medicine and Surgery wishes Carla and the entire Maltese contingent the best of luck!
