The Faculty for Social Wellbeing is pleased to announce the first publication of Studies in Social Wellbeing (SSW), an online open-access peer-reviewed journal. Featuring an international editorial board, Studies in Social Wellbeing aims to publish articles and other content from researchers, practitioners, and post-graduate students in areas related to wellbeing.
The journal's first issue features an interview with Dr Gauden Galea, who is affiliated with the World Health Organization, discussing reflections on wellbeing with a particular focus on the Covid-19 pandemic.
The issue also includes research contributions from a wide range of areas in the social wellbeing field, including (but not limited to): disability studies, capitalism, socialism, children in residential care, social stigma, youth studies, crime, loneliness, and Covid-19.
The current issue of Studies in Social Wellbeing, as well as information for future contributors, can be found on the journal's website.
