Doreen's testimonial:
If I had to think of a reason why I have decided to follow an online bachelor’s degree programme at the University of Malta, was partly because of its flexibility and accessibility in time and place of study. It was something I wanted to do for quite a while, after pursuing a lengthy nursing career in Intensive care and a desire to upgrade my traditional professional qualification.
The renewed structure and cohesiveness of the programme acted as a further incentive to apply. Being one of the seasoned nurses myself I wrongly thought that the non-traditional format of the course would pose certain obstacles, yet the elimination of certain aspects of a classroom taught structure proved highly beneficial to my learning temperament.
Whilst initially the idea of applying for a university programme might seem daunting, the extremely enlightening topics taught and discussed in this programme would surely help any aspiring or experienced health professional.’
Diane's testimonial:
Following the Diploma in Health Sciences, I knew that I wanted to further my studies by reading for a degree. Of course, there were many options to choose from, however, the part-time distance learning Degree in Health Sciences offered by the University of Malta was my preferred choice. I wanted a course which I could fit in while working a full-time job, and this course offered just that.
Thanks to the online learning environment, which was very user friendly and easily accessible, I could log on to the course material at any time and place. There was a good variety of modules to choose from, which were all very well organised, interesting, pertinent and helpful in my day to day nursing career. The support from the lecturers and course co-ordinators is never lacking, and they are always ready to meet with students if any concerns arise. Thanks to this course, I found my love for research, which is why I have now embarked on a Master’s Degree program with the University of Malta.
