The results of the Malta Book Fund 2021 are out, the National Book Council has announced.
Winning projects were chosen according to a set of pre-determined criteria, including the cultural value of the proposed publication and the financing needs due to the specialised and non-commercial nature of the project.
Once again, the list of beneficiaries included members of the University of Malta community, namely:
· Prof. Arnold Cassola from the Department of Maltese, who was funded for his translation of ‘Suleyman the Magnificent and Malta 1565’ to French
· Dr Immanuel Mifsud from the Department of Maltese, who was funded for translating ‘Fid-dlam tal-lejl ħarisna’ to English
· Prof. Anthony Aquilina from the Department of Translation, Terminology and Interpreting Studies, who was funded for his translation of ‘L’exil et le Royaume’ by Albert Camus to Maltese
