The organising committee of the 2021 Pan-European Conference of the Licensing Executives Society International has invited Mr András Havasi, manager of the Knowledge Transfer Office, to speak at the event. He will share his views and experience about the opportunities and threats of licensing deals in the academic technology transfer landscape.
This year’s conference is built around the theme “Sharing is caring”, shedding light on the collaborative side of IP: using it as a tool for creating synergies instead of promoting exclusionary conduct. The program covers no less important areas than the role of patent pools in standardization, IP management in company groups, trade secrets and know-how licensing, IP tools to tackle global challenges, university technology transfer, AI and data economy, IP enforcement questions and the latest developments in the European copyright arena.
The Licensing Executives Society International (LESI) is an umbrella organisation of 33 national and regional member societies, having approximately 9,000 individual members in 90 countries, including representatives of companies, scientists, engineers, academicians, governmental officials, lawyers, patent and trademark attorneys, and consultants. Its function as a non-profit professional organisation is to support its societies in their efforts in the fields of technology transfer and the licensing of intellectual property rights - from technical know-how and patented inventions to software, copyright and trademarks.
The conference is going to take place on the 5th and 6th October, interested parties may register on the conference website.
