The most awaited moment from the first day at University is undoubtedly the day one gets to graduate. This year the University will be having a very special graduation due to the circumstances and effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and although the class of 2020 did not graduate last year, this will be celebrated alongside the class of 2021 this year. This is a very special day both for graduands and their families and all of us at UM wish all graduates the very best for their future.
The graduation ceremonies will run through the month of November.
Two ceremonies will be held everyday until December 2, for all undergraduate students who successfully concluded their studies in 2020 and 2021. The total number of graduates (class 2020) is 2,202 (1347 females and 855 males) whilst the total number of graduands (class 2021) is 2,200 (1394 females and 808 males).
The ceremony for students are being held at the Sir Temi Zammit Hall whereas guests are seated in marquees that have been specifically set up in Upper Car Park 6. The ceremonies are livestreamed on the University of Malta Facebook page and Linkedin page and on the University of Malta website. We look forward to the upcoming postgraduate graduation ceremonies in the early months of 2022!
