After two consecutive years holding an online seminar via zoom, the Faculty for Social Wellbeing was able to organise its annual Faculty Seminar on Wednesday 18 May 2022 at the
De Paule Hall at San Anton Presidential Palace.
The seminar focused on the theme Digital Wellbeing, where various speakers explored the importance of technology and its advantages and disadvantages, and its impact on our wellbeing in relation to our work at the Faculty. Throughout the seminar, academics, staff, student representatives, RSOs and administrators, reflected on the nuances surrounding the use of technology in relation to our core business.
The Dean, Prof. Andrew Azzopardi spoke about the need for connectivity, the Pro-Rector Prof. Carmen Sammut congratulated the Faculty on its work. The Director of HR Ms Jacqueline Fenech and assistant registrar were present for the seminar as well. The event was anchored by the Deputy Dean, Dr Claire Azzopardi Lane and Dr Patricia Bonello shared her reflections. Prof. Marilyn Clark, Dr Patricia Bonello, Dr Claire Azzoaprdi Lane, Ms Charlene Fabri, Ms Lucienne Gellel and the Dean were part of the organising committee. The seminar will be followed up by a discussion paper.
