Delivered remotely, the applied session covered strategy and sustainable business models for competitive advantage – using as a case the Chilean multinational winery Vina Concha y Toro, one of South America’s largest wine exporters.
Underlining the importance of holistic environmental sustainability strategy, her presentation drew from published peer-reviewed research she co- authored with Dr Nathaniel Massa at the Department of Business and Enterprise Management, and other international scholars – which included direct interaction with the top management team of this global player in the wine industry.
The presentations were given to Dr Nathaniel Massa’s BCom and BSc students taking ‘Applied Management Fundamentals’; as well as his postgraduate cohort taking ‘Strategic Management and Enterprising’. Dr Geldres-Weiss is currently on sabbatical collaborating on various research initiatives with Dr Massa at the Department of Business and Enterprise Management.
