A SEA-EU Journey: Academic Presents Plenary Lecture at International Conference on Environment Protection
Prof. David Magri of the Department of Chemistry attended the 4th International ZORH Convention for Scientists, Specialists and Students on Environment Protection as an invited plenary lecturer in Split, Croatia.
He gave a seminar entitled Fluorescent Molecular Logic Gates for Environment Protection detailing the use of designed molecules with artificial intelligence as a method for the early detection of corrosion on mild steel, among other applications.
The conference was held at the Faculty of Chemistry and Technology, University of Split on the 20-21 of April 2023. There were 17 oral and 28 poster presentations on a range of topics including food chemistry, photovoltaics, hydrogen generation, waste management, green technologies, microplastics and biodegradable packaging.
Prof. David Magri is a member of the Committee for Sustainability (C-Sum).
Financial support was made available via the Erasmus+ Programme for Staff Mobility for Teaching administered by the International Office of the University of Malta.
