The Department of Digital Arts within the Faculty of Media and Knowledge Sciences has been entrusted with the rebranding of Campus 103.7. Under the creative direction of Dr Trevor Borg, Head of Department of Digital Arts, and Prof. Vince Briffa, the students spent an entire semester researching, designing and introducing new elements to refresh the visual identity of the University’s radio station.
The group of Bachelor in Fine Arts, Digital Arts students, whose work was chosen, consists of Miguel Attard, Nicole Elena Cassar, Anthea Mifsud, Max Roth and Olga Sater. The rebranding project was presented to the Rector Prof. Alfred J. Vella by Celaine Buhagiar Bugeja, Campus 103.7 Station Manager, and the Department of Digital Arts, in the presence of the Dean Prof. Noellie Brockdorff, the students, and their tutors. The students have been compensated for their excellent work and awarded a certificate.
The Bachelor in Fine Arts in Digital Arts course aims to engage students in real life projects, and in recent years it has successfully collaborated with various entities including Heritage Malta, MUŻA, Festivals Malta and Palazzo Falson. The latest collaboration with Campus 103.7 has been very important since students could contribute directly to the development of the University’s radio station in a creative and professional way.
