Like any other student, 23-year-old Isaac Zahra enjoys walking his dog, watching football, and hanging out with his friends and loved ones.
But for him specifically, the journey of studying to become a doctor has not been an easy one, at all.
After he got diagnosed with leukaemia, he had to stop studying, to dedicate his time and energy to receiving treatment.
Thankfully, he beat cancer, something which he says is “one of his proudest moments to date”.
He feels like can offer a unique perspective when seeing and reviewing patients.
Isaac lives every day to the best of his ability by never taking anything for granted - a good lesson for all of us to live by.
Isaac recently shared his story with Newspoint on World Health Day - check it out!
