The Digital Games Research Association (DiGRA) is the premiere international association for academics and professionals who research digital games and associated phenomena and in 2025 their conference will take place in Valletta, Malta, 30 June – 4 July 2025. It will be hosted by the Institute of Digital Games at the University of Malta and we’re looking for a number of volunteers to help the conference run smoothly.
DiGRA Volunteers will be able to attend the conference for free and will have access to all the benefits of a full conference registration including attendance to the conference dinner.
If you’re interested in researching digital games and would like to help with various logistical aspects of the conference while networking with some of the leading scholars in the field please contact us to be a DIGRA Volunteer.
Volunteer responsibilities include:
- Each room will have volunteers available to troubleshoot technical issues, assist chairs, and answer participant questions
- Assist with logistical aspects of the conference (including room set up, guiding speakers, liaising with catering and technical support)
- Assist with registration and welcoming of attendees to the conference
- Be present at the conference location for a full day on 29 June to receive training for the various tasks they will be responsible for
