Recently-graduated with a Master’s Degree, Elena lectures at the Department of Digital Arts and is a writer for the University’s Research Magazine, THINK.
At 26 years old, she has already gotten used to being part of the University of Malta community.
Interesting to note is Elena’s thesis, which touches upon the topic of over-construction.
As we all know, over-construction is a pressing issue in Malta – so Elena created an installation for viewers to reflect on the matter.
She used machine-vision technology to detect cranes in photographs of the Maltese landscape.
She believes art can make issues such as the one tackled by her more accessible to a wider audience and more emotionally impactful.
