The University of Malta is a partner in CARISMAND – Culture And RISk management in Man-made And Natural Disasters, a large-scale research project funded under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. CARISMAND seeks to investigate the relationships between risk perception and cultural factors which play an important role in determining the way people prepare for disasters, respond to stress, engage in crisis management and accept disaster relief in an emergency.
The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) who is a CARISMAND Consortium member has developed a set of 5 visual safety tips to promote good practices after an earthquake. These visual safety tips are images designed to be understood by anyone around the world regardless of their cultural background, and EMSC has launched a survey to assess the understanding of these images.
Please follow this link to complete this short survey and help EMSC to improve their safety tips. These tips will be implemented in LastQuake, the official EMSC Earthquake App.
