The MRCP (UK) part 2 clinical examination (Practical Assessment of Clinical Examination Skills - PACES) was successfully run for a second time by the University of Malta’s Faculty of Medicine and Surgery between 9 and 11 December 2016.
Eleven local and thirty four international doctors underwent the examination. They were examined by five UK and fifteen Maltese examiners. Successful candidates will receive their MRCP (UK) certification which is a pivotal step on their way to specialisation in Internal Medicine.

The local host examiner, Federation Lead examiner and Head of Department of Medicine, Professor Stephen Montefort was presented with a commemorative plaque in recognition of the commitment towards the PACES exam by the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery and Mater Dei Hospital. The presentation was made by the representatives of the three Royal Colleges of Physicians (London, Edinburgh and Glasgow), Dr Michael Rudolf and Professor Kevin Davies.
