The ability to write up one’s research is an essential skill for all academics, not only to disseminate their work, but also to further their careers. WASP (Write a Scientific Paper) is an intensive course that explains and elaborates all aspects pertaining to this crucial ability. The course is run by Maltese academics from the University of Malta and has been run in Malta regularly.
WASP was also held for the first time in London at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health from 30/1 to 1/2. This course was endorsed by the College and was allotted 18 international CPD (Continuous Professional Development) points. The organisers and faculty had excellent feedback from the anonymous questionnaire that the attendees completed. To the organisers’ knowledge, this is the first time that a group of Maltese academics from the local University have organised a course of this nature overseas.
The course will be repeated in Malta at the Life Sciences Park this month (22-24 Feb, 2017).
