The Euro-Mediterranean Centre for Educational Research (EMCER) has just published another volume in its Mediterranean Journal of Educational Studies (MJES) series in collaboration with SENSE publishers (Rotterdam). Launched in 1996, this is the 21st volume (and 36th number) of the MJES, which since 2011 has entered into an agreement with SENSE to produce and internationally market its special thematic issues on educational matters pertaining to the Mediterranean region.
Volume 21 is titled Career Guidance and Livelihood Planning across the Mediterranean, a 450-page tome featuring 26 chapters with authors looking at the challenge of youth unemployment and the modalities of systemic support that can be offered to facilitate transitions in Southern Europe and the Middle East and North Africa region. The volume is edited by Professor Ronald G. Sultana, EMCER director and founding editor of the MJES series, with the Malta chapter being written by Dr Manwel Debono from the Centre for Labour Studies.
