The Faculty of Theology is currently accepting applications for the M.A. in Theology and M.A. in Religious Studies, which are being offered again in October 2017. Offered on a part-time basis, these programmes are followed mainly by research.
The Master of Arts in Theology is intended to show that academic theology is practical and factual by exposing students to various approaches concerning religion, spirituality, society, identity, ethics and popular culture. It seeks to highlight the convergence between faith and life, in order to enabling students to be always prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks them to give the reason for their hope. This programme of study is recommended for those who are involved in evangelisation, pastoral ministry, religious education, chaplaincy work, missionary activity and social work, and hold a bachelor degree in theology.
The Master of Arts in Religious Studies is intended to enable students gain greater understanding of the impact of religion and spirituality in the contemporary world. Adopting an interdisciplinary approach, this programme empower students to train in advanced research skills and network with scholars dedicated to the study of religions or religious thought. The M.A. in Religious Studies is recommended for those who hold a bachelor degree in an area other than theology and wish to explore the relationship between their areas of study and theology or religion.
