The Institute for European Studies and the Department of International Relations held ideas in Brown Bags Research seminar on:
‘The Quality of Budget Institutions in the Euro Area countries’
The Institute for European Studies and the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Arts, held the sixth of a series of research seminars in 2018, which focus on key issues in European and international politics. The aim of these research in progress seminars is twofold, to increase the research output of the University of Malta by presenting the state of the art research developed by resident and visiting members, and to identify gaps where further research is needed to support policy.
The sixth research seminar was delivered by Ms. Moira Catania, assistant lecturer at the Institute for European Studies and Ph.D. student with the University of Bradford, UK., presenting a paper entitled ‘The quality of budget institutions in the Euro Area countries’. Dr. Stefano Moncada, also from the Institute for European Studies, acted as the main discussant, and started off the discussion among all participants.
The following research seminars will feature research in the field of governance models for subnational island jurisdictions (Mr Ryan Mercieca on the 21st March), economic development and climate change in small island developing states (Dr. Stefano Moncada, 18 April), and Prof. Roderick Pace on 16 May. Further details can be found online.
