Mark Anthony Camilleri has recently edited an academic textbook entitled; 'Tourism Planning and Destination Marketing' for Emerald, an established international publisher of academic journals and books.
This peer-reviewed publication was authored by twenty-two academics hailing from leading European and North American Universities. It provides an in-depth understanding of a wide array of economic, social, technological and environmental realities in tourism planning and development. It explores the travel and tourism marketing topics, including: destination branding through cultural experiences; the planning and organisation of events; the promotion of the hospitality product, eco-tourism and sustainable practices; and the use of innovative tourism technologies like digital media, augmented and virtual reality, among other topics.
The authoritative book is a valuable resource for academic researchers and a wide range of industry practitioners, including: consultants; senior executives and managers who work for destination management organisations; tourism offices; hotels; inbound/outbound tour operators and travel agents.
