Dr Duncan Ayers, a senior cancer researcher (RSOIV) at the University of Malta (Centre for Molecular Medicine and Biobanking) studying the use of micro-ribonucleic acid (miRNA) in mitigating the effects of often devastating chemotherapy, shared his discoveries with HSBC colleagues during a CSR Breakfast Talk to mark World Cancer Day at the HSBC Business Banking Centre in Qormi on 5 February.
The HSBC Malta Foundation is funding the research by Dr Ayers with EUR 84,000 through the University of Malta’s Research, Innovation and Development Trust, aided by ALIVE Foundation, as part of its commitment to medical research for the benefit of the community.
