Dr Stefano Moncada attended the Executive Committee (ExCo) meeting of the European Association of Development and Training Institutes (EADI), on 4 and 5 April, in Ljubljana, hosted by the Faculty of Social Sciences. The Institute for European Studies has been a member of EADI since 2010, and Dr Moncada member of the ExCo since 2015.
EADI is a Europe-wide network of institutes, researchers and students of various disciplines in the field of development studies, and the leading European network in the field of development research and training.
Dr Moncada is co-convener of the working group on ‘Climate Resilient Development and Transformational Change’, and part of the sub-committee on publications, which oversees the European Journal of Development Research (EJDR), one of the world-leading academic journals in the field of development studies. During the meeting, among many other items, it was discussed the organisation of the upcoming 16th 2020 EADI General Conference, to be held in The Hague from 29 June to 2 July 2020, and entitled ‘Solidarity, Peace, and Social Justice’, co-organised by the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS). Dr Moncada is a member of the academic staff based at the Institute for European Studies, and focal point of the Climate Change Platform of the University of Malta.
